The A02s sat at the very bottom of Samsung’s range, and it is now several years old. That combination makes it a difficult recommendation — not because it was a bad phone, but because the cheapest tier ages fastest.
Why the bottom of the range is a false economy
Entry phones are built to a price, and the savings come from the two things that determine how long a phone stays usable:
- Memory — too little, and apps reload constantly as the phone ages
- Storage — fills within months, then updates start failing
A phone that frustrates you daily for two years is not cheap. Spending slightly more at purchase usually buys considerably more usable life.
