Blue Label Connect, now branded Blu Label Connect, is part of the Blu Label group (formerly Blue Label Telecoms). It supplies post-paid airtime, device contracts and value-added services, mainly through partners: retailers, credit providers, cellular dealers and employers. Deals often reach consumers through one of those partners rather than a public price list. Use this page to understand how the model works, what to ask before you sign, and how it compares with other contract deals.

Current Blue Label Connect Contract Deals

CURRENT MARKET FACT (checked 25 September 2026 on Blu Label Connect’s site): Blu Label Connect is a connectivity provider partnered with the MVNO C-Connect — so its contracts run on that network rather than directly on Vodacom, MTN, Telkom or Cell C.

It did not publish device pricing on the pages we checked. What it does publish is the eligibility criteria, and for this provider that is the more useful information, because it positions itself specifically at applicants who have been declined elsewhere:

Requirement What it states
Employment Permanently employed, or on a continuous contract for at least three months
Income Minimum net salary of R4 000 after deductions
Residence Must reside in South Africa
Credit check Free, and used to assess which handset you qualify for
Upfront cost No upfront fees — payment starts with the first debit order after delivery
Delivery Nationwide

That R4 000 net minimum is the number to check first. It is a hard threshold, stated plainly, and it decides whether an application is worth making at all — unlike a general invitation to apply, which costs you a credit enquiry to find out.

The provider describes a multi-tiered risk assessment aimed at applicants with imperfect credit records. Treat that as a wider approval window, not a guarantee: approval still depends on the assessment, and no provider can promise it. Because pricing is not published, get the monthly figure, the term and the total in writing before you commit.

We couldn’t read a live, public list of Blue Label Connect deals on its official website when we checked in September 2026. The consumer site describes the business as a technology and connectivity provider and a partner of the MVNO C-Connect, with a focus on mobile communications, device contracts and connectivity solutions. An MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) sells mobile services using another operator’s network infrastructure.

The Blu Label group describes Blu Label Connect’s offering as including:

Because deals are often packaged for a specific partner, the device, price and term you’re offered may differ from what someone else sees through a different store or employer. Always get the full written terms for your specific offer.

Blue Label and Blue Label Connect

The names are used loosely in search and in conversation. Blue Label Connect is the business that sells the mobile contracts covered on this page; it is part of a wider group whose other businesses do not sell you a phone contract. If someone quotes you a “Blue Label deal”, check the trading name on the paperwork, which network the contract sits with, and who bills you each month.

Questions to ask before signing

1. Who is the contract actually with? Is it Blu Label Connect, the MVNO, a credit provider or the retailer? 2. Which network does the SIM run on? Check coverage at your home and workplace. 3. What is the monthly amount, and does it change during the term? 4. How long is the contract, and what does it cost to cancel early? 5. What’s included? Get the data, minutes, SMS and any insurance or value-added services, with prices shown separately. 6. Is insurance or another service optional? Ask whether you can remove it. 7. Who do I contact for faults, SIM swaps or billing problems?

Ask for these answers in writing, such as in the quote, the agreement or an email from the partner. A verbal explanation in store is easy to misremember later. If the partner can’t tell you who the contract is with or which network the SIM uses, pause and compare other options before you sign. A clear, complete quote also makes it much easier to compare the offer like-for-like with a network or reseller deal.

Blue Label Connect Deals by Brand

The official pages we checked don’t list the phone brands currently available, and ranges are likely to depend on the partner selling the contract. Some third-party sites list brands, but we couldn’t confirm those on an official source, so we haven’t repeated them.

When you’re offered a device, compare it using the same factors as any contract phone:

Factor What to check
Exact model Full model name and storage, not just “Samsung” or “iPhone”
New or refurbished Confirm the device is new unless you’ve agreed otherwise
Retail price Compare the total contract cost with the phone’s cash price elsewhere
Warranty Who handles repairs, and for how long
Network lock Whether the device is locked to a specific SIM or network

Double and Bundle Deals

We couldn’t verify any double deals, 2-for-1 phones or two-device bundles from Blue Label Connect on official pages. Employer or retailer partners may put together their own bundles, such as a phone with insurance or a phone with a data package.

If you’re offered a bundle, check:

Don’t assume a bundle includes a free second device unless the written offer says so.

Application, Delivery and Collection Options

How you’re likely to apply

Blue Label Connect works through partners, so the application route usually depends on where you found the offer:

Credit and affordability

Post-paid contracts normally involve a credit and affordability assessment by whoever extends the credit. The criteria for Blue Label Connect offers weren’t published on the official pages we checked. Approval is never guaranteed and depends on your circumstances and the provider’s criteria. Be cautious with any website or agent that promises approval.

Delivery and collection

Delivery or collection depends on the partner. Ask whether the device is handed over in store or couriered, what ID and proof of address you need, and how RICA registration is done.

Check who you’re dealing with

The Blu Label group runs several businesses. For example, a separate company, Blue Label Data Solutions, operates a direct-marketing campaign that pre-assesses people for cellular credit offers and then contacts them with offers. That’s not the same as a Blu Label Connect contract. Confirm the company name on any agreement, and never share your ID number or banking details with a caller you can’t verify.

How to Compare Blue Label Connect Offers

Since public price lists weren’t available, the best way to compare is to get a written quote and set it against equivalent deals elsewhere.

Factor Blue Label Connect offer Alternative offer

Total cost over the term Monthly price times term, plus fees Same calculation

Is Blue Label Connect the same as Blu Label Connect?

Yes. The business now appears as Blu Label Connect on official websites, within the group now styled Blu Label Unlimited.
