The iPhone 14 Pro isn’t currently available on contract from South Africa’s main networks. When we checked in September 2026, Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C didn’t list it, either new or pre-owned, online or in their current catalogues. Apple also no longer sells it in its South African lineup.
That doesn’t mean you’re out of options. This page explains what’s realistically available instead, from pre-owned standard iPhone 14 contracts to the newer iPhone 17 Pro, and what to compare before you apply. For the full Apple range, start at iPhone Contract Deals.

What the iPhone 14 Pro offered
According to Apple’s tech specs, the iPhone 14 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display with ProMotion (up to 120Hz) and an Always-On display, the A16 Bionic chip, a 48MP Main camera and 5G. It uses a Lightning connector rather than USB-C. It was sold in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
If you want those Pro features on contract today, you’ll need to look at a newer Pro model or a different buying route.
Monthly Price and Contract Term
Because no network listed the iPhone 14 Pro, there’s no current monthly price to compare. If you see an “iPhone 14 Pro contract” advertised elsewhere, check who is financing it, whether the phone is new, pre-owned or refurbished, and what the full contract term is.
What the alternatives cost
- Pre-owned iPhone 14 (standard model): MTN listed it from R449 pm x 36 and Cell C’s Connector Book at R449 pm x 36 on Elevate 1+. Vodacom only offers it as a two-phone deal at R649 pm x 36 for both phones. It’s not a Pro, so you give up ProMotion, the telephoto camera and the Always-On display.
- iPhone 17 Pro: Telkom’s catalogue lists the 256GB at R1 009 pm x 36, Vodacom from R1,079 pm and Cell C at R1149 pm x 36 on Elevate 2+. MTN’s catalogue (valid until 6 October 2026) lists it from R1 199 pm x 36 on deluxe, checked September 2026.
- Newer Pro models: Vodacom also listed the iPhone 18 Pro 256GB from R1,199 pm. Check the deal page for pre-order or delivery terms.
How the term affects price
A longer term, such as 36 months, generally lowers the monthly amount but increases the total you pay. Always multiply the monthly price by the number of months and add once-off fees.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
With older and pre-owned iPhones, low “from” prices are often attached to small data allocations. Before choosing an alternative, compare:
- how much anytime data you get each month
- whether minutes are capped or unlimited
- whether the plan is a top-up version that limits out-of-bundle spend
- any extras bundled with the phone, such as a charging cable on some pre-owned deals
If your usage is high, a slightly more expensive plan with more data can cost less over the contract than buying extra bundles.
Current Networks, Retailers or Providers
Vodacom
Vodacom’s online Apple range didn’t include the iPhone 14 Pro. Its pre-owned iPhone promotion listed the iPhone 11, iPhone 13 and standard iPhone 14 only. Browse Vodacom’s pre-owned iPhone range for current stock.
MTN
MTN’s online pre-owned section showed only the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14, and its September 2026 catalogue’s pre-loved range is the same two models. Its online Apple range listed the iPhone 16e, iPhone 15 and iPhone 17 Pro.
Telkom
Telkom’s online Apple gallery ran from the iPhone 16e to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Its current catalogue’s only pre-owned iPhone is the iPhone 13.
Cell C
Cell C’s online contract listing included the iPhone 13 (Certified Pre Owned), iPhone 15, iPhone 16 and the iPhone 17 range, but not the iPhone 14 Pro. Its Connector Book adds a pre-owned standard iPhone 14 in selected stores.
Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
Whichever alternative you choose, check:
- Connection or SIM fees on the deal page
- Delivery costs, which can depend on your location
- Deposits, which may be requested after a credit assessment
- Promotion end dates and whether the price applies to new customers or upgrades only
- Pre-owned terms, such as device grading, warranty and battery condition
- Annual price increases in the contract terms
What to Check Before You Apply
1. Exact model: make sure the listing says Pro if you want Pro features. A standard iPhone 14 is a different phone. 2. New or pre-owned: pre-owned deals can cost less per month, but confirm warranty and condition. 3. Customer type: check whether a deal is for new customers or upgrades. MTN lists separate upgrade deals for some iPhones. 4. Total cost: monthly price × term, plus once-off fees. 5. Documents and checks: networks usually ask for ID, proof of address and bank details, and may run credit and affordability checks. Approval isn’t guaranteed.
If you’d prefer a lower monthly cost, compare iPhone 13 Contract Deals, which are mainly pre-owned, or iPhone 11 Contract Deals for the most affordable iPhone route.
iPhone 14 Pro Contract Deals FAQs
Can I still get an iPhone 14 Pro on contract in South Africa?
Not from the main networks when we checked in September 2026. Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C didn’t list it, new or pre-owned, online or in their current catalogues.
What’s the closest alternative on contract?
A pre-owned standard iPhone 14 is the closest in age, but it lacks the Pro features. For Pro features, the iPhone 17 Pro was listed by all four networks.
Is a pre-owned iPhone 14 the same as an iPhone 14 Pro?
No. The standard iPhone 14 has a different chip, no telephoto camera and no ProMotion display.
Why did the iPhone 14 Pro disappear from contracts?
Apple no longer sells it in South Africa, so networks have moved to newer models. Older stock sells out over time.
Will the iPhone 14 Pro come back as a pre-owned deal?
That depends on each network’s pre-owned stock. Check the pre-owned sections on network sites, as ranges can change.
