The A32 4G is the version with the AMOLED screen — which, unusually, made the cheaper variant the one with the better display. If you are looking at an A32 deal, establish which version it is first.
Check the variant before anything else
Samsung sold two quite different phones under this number. The 4G model used an AMOLED panel; the 5G model used an LCD with a higher refresh rate, along with other internal differences.
Listings frequently say only “A32”. Ask which one, in writing.

Why AMOLED is the more valuable half of that trade
You see contrast and black levels in every photo, video and web page. You see refresh rate mainly while scrolling.
For most people the AMOLED panel is the more noticeable benefit day to day — which is why the 4G A32 held up better than its positioning suggested.
Where it stands now
The A32 is several years old. Before considering one:
- Confirm the remaining security update window — the deciding factor on any older phone
- Check battery health if it is pre-owned
- Note it lacks 5G, which matters for longevity as older networks are retired
That last point counts against the 4G model on a new 24-month commitment, whatever its screen advantage.
