The iPhone 15 Pro isn’t currently offered on contract by South Africa’s main networks. In our September 2026 checks, Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C didn’t list it in their online shops, new or pre-owned, and Apple no longer sells it in its South African lineup. The standard iPhone 15, however, is still available from all four networks.
So the real choice is between the standard iPhone 15, which is cheaper but lacks Pro features, and a newer Pro model. This page compares those routes and what to check before you apply. For the full Apple range, start at iPhone Contract Deals.
Compare iPhone 15 Pro Contract Deals
Here’s how the iPhone 15 Pro and its closest alternatives looked across the networks in our September 2026 checks. Check each deal page for the current monthly price.
| Network | iPhone 15 Pro listed? | Standard iPhone 15 listed? | Newer Pro options |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vodacom | No | Yes, new | iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max |
| MTN | No | Yes | iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max |
| Telkom | No | Yes | iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max |
| Cell C | No | Yes | iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max |
What the iPhone 15 Pro offered
According to Apple’s tech specs, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display with ProMotion (up to 120Hz) and an Always-On display, the A17 Pro chip, a 48MP Main camera with a 3x Telephoto camera, and an Action button. It uses a USB-C connector that supports USB 3 speeds of up to 10Gb/s. It supports Apple Intelligence, has 5G and an IP68 rating, and came in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
Pro or standard: what you give up
If you choose the standard iPhone 15 on contract instead, you give up ProMotion, the Always-On display, the telephoto camera, the Action button and the faster USB 3 transfer speeds. For many people that trade-off is fine. If those features matter to you, compare a newer Pro model instead.
Monthly Price and Contract Term
Because no network listed the iPhone 15 Pro, there’s no current monthly price to compare. If you see an “iPhone 15 Pro contract” advertised elsewhere, check:
- who finances the deal: a network, retailer or third-party lender
- the device condition: new, pre-owned or refurbished
- the full term: networks commonly use 24- or 36-month terms
- the total cost: monthly price multiplied by the term, plus once-off fees
When comparing the standard iPhone 15 with a newer Pro, look at the difference in total contract cost, not just the monthly figure.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
The phone is only part of the deal. Before choosing an alternative, compare:
- how much anytime data you get each month
- whether minutes are capped or unlimited
- whether it’s a top-up plan that limits out-of-bundle spend
- whether the price includes extras such as device insurance, and whether they’re optional
- whether the deal is online only, which can affect delivery and in-store support
A cheaper “from” price is often tied to the smallest data option, so match the plan to how you actually use your phone.
Current Networks, Retailers or Providers
Vodacom
Vodacom had the widest iPhone range, including the new iPhone 15 128GB and the iPhone 17 Pro family, but no iPhone 15 Pro. Its iPhone 15 landing page still shows an iPhone 15 Pro tile, so check the actual product page before assuming it’s available.
MTN
MTN’s September 2026 catalogue lists the standard iPhone 15 at R549 pm x 36 on core, with no upgrade restriction (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026, checked September 2026). A separate upgrade deal is R589 pm x 36. MTN also lists the iPhone 16e, 16, 17 range, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, but not the iPhone 15 Pro.
Telkom
Telkom’s Apple gallery included the standard iPhone 15 and the iPhone 16 and 17 ranges. An older iPhone 15 Pro page we found no longer loads, and the model wasn’t in the current range.
Cell C
Cell C’s Apple range included the iPhone 15, iPhone 16 and the iPhone 17 family, but not the iPhone 15 Pro.
Retailers and pre-owned specialists
Apple resellers and pre-owned specialists may offer a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro, sometimes with a network plan attached. We haven’t verified any current offer, so confirm stock, grading and warranty directly.
Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
Whichever phone you choose, check:
- connection or SIM fees on the deal page
- delivery costs, which can vary by area
- deposits, which may be requested after a credit assessment
- promotion end dates and whether the price applies to new customers or upgrades only
- annual price increases in the contract terms
- pre-owned terms if you go that route, such as device grading and battery condition
- early cancellation costs
What to Check Before You Apply
1. Exact model: a listing that says “iPhone 15” isn’t a 15 Pro. Check the model name and storage. 2. Customer type: some deals, such as MTN’s R589 iPhone 15 upgrade deal, are for upgrades only, so check which price applies to you. 3. New or pre-owned: confirm condition and warranty on any pre-owned or refurbished offer. 4. Features you need: decide whether the telephoto camera and ProMotion are worth paying for. 5. Total cost: monthly price × term, plus once-off fees. 6. Documents and checks: expect to provide ID, proof of address and bank details. Networks may run credit and affordability checks, and approval isn’t guaranteed.
If your budget is tighter, compare iPhone 13 Contract Deals, which are mainly pre-owned, or iPhone 11 Contract Deals for the most budget-focused Apple route.
