The iPhone 15 is still widely available on contract in South Africa, even though Apple no longer lists it in its current South African lineup. When we checked in September 2026, Telkom listed it from R499 pm, Vodacom from R529 pm, and MTN’s catalogue at R549 pm x 36 on its entry core plan (MTN catalogue valid until 6 October 2026). Cell C also included it in its contract range. The deals we found were for the 128GB model.

Because the networks are selling remaining stock, availability can change quickly. For a wider view of Apple models on contract, see our iPhone Contract Deals page.

Why the iPhone 15 is still worth comparing

The iPhone 15 was the first standard iPhone with a USB-C connector, and it supports 5G. According to Apple’s tech specs, it has a 6.1-inch OLED display and the A16 Bionic chip. It was originally sold in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, but network contract listings now focus on 128GB.

For many buyers it’s a middle route: newer than pre-owned iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 stock, and lower monthly cost than the iPhone 16 or iPhone 17.

Monthly Price and Contract Term

What changes the price

Vodacom

Vodacom listed the iPhone 15 128GB from R529 pm, with a once-off price of R13,899. The Black model was in stock with delivery in 2–5 working days when we checked. Open the new contract tab to see the plan and term attached to each price.

MTN

MTN’s September 2026 catalogue lists the iPhone 15 128GB at R549 pm x 36 on Yellow Plans core (1GB anytime data, 60 all-network minutes), with no upgrade-only label (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026, checked September 2026). Its upgrade-only deal is R589 pm x 36, with core boosted to 3GB and 160 minutes. MTN’s online shop marked its iPhone 15 listing “Upgrade only” on 12 September, so new customers should confirm how to take the catalogue deal.

Telkom

Telkom’s lowest listed price was R499 pm. The term and plan weren’t visible on the gallery page, so check the deal details.

Data, Minutes and Included Extras

Low-cost iPhone 15 deals often come with small data allocations. On Vodacom’s two-phone iPhone 15 deals, for example, the cheapest option included 1GB of data with unlimited voice.

If you use more than a few gigabytes a month, a slightly higher plan can cost less than regularly buying extra bundles.

Single or double deal: make sure you’re comparing one-phone prices with one-phone prices. 5. Colour and stock: check your preferred colour is available. 6.
