Vodacom tablet contract deals bundle a tablet with Vodacom data. As with any tablet contract, only cellular models can take a SIM — Wi-Fi-only tablets cannot go on a network contract.
Where Vodacom’s coverage helps
A tablet used while travelling or commuting benefits from the widest reach. A tablet that stays at home does not — and in that case a Wi-Fi model plus tethering is cheaper than paying for both the cellular premium and a second line.
Check the data allocation
Tablets use more data than phones, since larger screens default to higher-resolution video. Vodacom typically offers less data per rand than Telkom, so verify the bundled amount suits tablet use.
