When we checked Cell C’s shop in September 2026, the iPhone 13 128GB Certified Pre Owned was listed at R399 pm x 36 on the Cell C Elevate 1 + package, with a 24-month option and five larger packages. We didn’t find a new iPhone 13 in Cell C’s range.

Elevate 2 + costs R100 pm more than Elevate 1 + on 36 months and doubles the data while tripling the minutes. For most smartphone users, that’s the first package worth comparing.

On Elevate 1 +, 24 months cost R150 pm more than 36 months. On the larger packages, the gap was R100 pm. Over the full term, Elevate 1 + came to R13 176 on 24 months and R14 364 on 36 months at the prices we saw. If you can manage the higher payment, the shorter term costs less overall and frees you to upgrade sooner.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
Each Elevate + package includes anytime data, any-net minutes for calls to any South African network, and SMSs. From Elevate 5 + upwards, minutes are unlimited.

Cell C’s contracts FAQ explains that TopUp plans stop once your allowance runs out until you top up, while full postpaid plans allow out-of-bundle use billed at month end. Ask which type your package is before signing.

Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
- SIM and connection fee. Cell C’s FAQ says most new contracts carry a once-off SIM and connection fee, covering the SIM, RICA and delivery. The amount wasn’t shown on the product page.
- Delivery. Cell C says delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days after credit approval and RICA verification, depending on where you live.
- Warranty and faulty devices. Cell C says its devices come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty, and a faulty device on arrival must be reported within 7 days. Confirm the warranty terms for Certified Pre Owned stock.
- Price and stock changes. Pricing and colours can change. Confirm the deal before you commit.
What to Check Before You Apply

What moves the price
Three things change what this phone costs on contract, and only one is the handset: the storage variant, the plan attached to it, and the term. Compare like with like — same storage, same plan tier, same number of months — before calling one offer cheaper. A cash price and a contract monthly amount answer different questions, so set the contract against the cash price plus what a SIM-only plan would cost you each month.
Before you sign
1. Ask about the pre-owned grading and warranty. 2. Compare 24- and 36-month totals for the package you want. 3. Check whether the package is TopUp or full postpaid. 4. Confirm the ordering route. The product page showed a “Call me back” option when we checked. 5. Allow time for credit vetting. Cell C says it usually takes 24 to 48 business hours, and approval isn’t guaranteed.
