New Samsung Galaxy S24 contract deals are now scarce in South Africa. The S24 is two generations behind Samsung’s current Galaxy S26 range. When we checked in September 2026, MTN and Telkom didn’t list the S24 or S24+. Their Samsung flagship deals had moved to the Galaxy S26, S26 FE and S25 FE.
If you specifically want an S24, check Vodacom and Cell C directly, or consider a pre-owned unit from a seller with a warranty. If you want a Samsung flagship at a similar monthly cost, compare the S25 FE and S26 below.
Compare Samsung S24 Contract Deals
The Galaxy S24 is the compact model in its series. Samsung South Africa’s buy page still lists it in 256GB with 8GB RAM, and the S24+ in 256GB with 12GB RAM. We couldn’t confirm price or stock from that page. See Samsung contract deals for the wider brand range.

When an S24 still makes sense
An S24 can still work if you find it at a clearly lower total cost than a newer model, and the seller confirms its condition, warranty and software support. Older flagships often get fewer years of updates than a newly launched model. Check Samsung’s current support information before you commit to a long contract.
Monthly Price and Contract Term
We didn’t find a published monthly price for a new S24 or S24+ on the network shops we could read. For comparison, these newer Samsung models were listed:

Telkom’s catalogue shows that choosing 24 months raises the monthly payment but ends a year sooner. Compare the full totals, not just the monthly figure.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
The plan decides what you get each month. Telkom’s FlexOn 2 device deals include 2GB Anytime data, 500 Telkom-to-Telkom minutes, 75 all-network minutes and SMSs, plus a once-off 20GB bonus that’s valid for 31 days (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026).
Telkom also offers a Galaxy Watch9 with the S26 FE for R129 pm x 36 (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026). That’s an extra monthly charge on top of the handset deal.
For any deal, including a pre-owned S24 if you find one, check:
- how much Anytime data is included, and whether it suits your usage;
- whether minutes cover all networks;
- whether bonus data is once-off or monthly;
- whether accessories or wearables are bundled in or billed separately.
Current Networks, Retailers or Providers
MTN: No S24 or S24+ in the Samsung range when checked. MTN’s flagship options were the S25 FE, S26 FE, S26 and S26 Ultra.
Telkom: No S24 in the current catalogue. Its Samsung options include the S25 FE, S26 and S26 FE.
Vodacom: We couldn’t read Vodacom’s shop. Check both its new and pre-owned ranges for any S24 stock.
Cell C: We couldn’t read Cell C’s Samsung shop. Check it directly.
Samsung South Africa: The Galaxy S24 buy page is still live. Confirm price and stock at checkout. Samsung sells cash devices, not network contracts.
If you’re looking at a refurbished or pre-owned S24 from a retailer, confirm the grade, battery health, warranty length and return policy before paying.
Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
Telkom’s catalogue lists a R99 once-off SIM and connection fee on device deals. It says offers are valid while stocks last, and that Telkom may adjust plan charges during the contract (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026). Older-model deals are especially likely to end when stock runs out. On any offer, check:
- once-off SIM, connection or delivery fees;
- any upfront payment requested after the credit assessment;
- the promotion end date and stock conditions;
- whether the handset is new, certified pre-owned or refurbished;
- cancellation terms and settlement costs.
What to Check Before You Apply
- Model and condition. Make sure the deal names the S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra, the storage size and whether the phone is new or pre-owned.
- Software support. An older flagship on a 36-month contract may stop getting updates before the contract ends.
- Total cost. Compare the full contract total with a newer model’s published deal.
- Plan fit. Check that the data and minutes match your usage.
- Affordability and credit checks. Networks assess every application. Approval isn’t guaranteed, and the offer may change based on the outcome.
- Documents. You’ll typically need ID, proof of address and bank details, plus RICA for the SIM.
