The Samsung Galaxy S25 is now hard to find on contract in South Africa. When we checked in September 2026, MTN and Telkom no longer listed the S25 or S25+, and Samsung South Africa showed every S25 and S25+ colour as out of stock. Samsung’s newer Galaxy S26 range and the lower-priced Galaxy S25 FE are the models the networks we could check are now putting on contract.

If you want the S25 specifically, check Vodacom and Cell C directly, since we couldn’t read their shops. If you’re flexible, compare the S25 FE or S26 on the same terms.

Compare Samsung S25 Contract Deals

Start with the wider Samsung contract deals if you’re open to other Galaxy models. The S25 sits in Samsung’s flagship S series. It is the smaller model, with a 6.2-inch display. The S25+ has a 6.7-inch screen and a bigger battery. Both use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip with 12GB RAM.

Here’s what we found when we checked each route in September 2026:

Route Galaxy S25 / S25+ status Closest current alternative
MTN Not listed in the Samsung range Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S26
Telkom Not in the current catalogue Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S26
Vodacom Shop couldn’t be read; check directly Check the Samsung range
Cell C Shop couldn’t be read; check directly Check the Samsung range
Samsung South Africa (cash) Listed, all variants out of stock Galaxy S26 range

Who the S25 still suits

The S25 suits someone who wants a compact flagship and finds one in stock, whether that’s remaining network stock or a pre-owned unit. If the exact model doesn’t matter, a current model on contract is usually easier to compare, because the networks publish full terms for it.

Monthly Price and Contract Term

We couldn’t find a published monthly price for a new Galaxy S25 or S25+ on the network shops we could read. For comparison, these related Samsung models were listed when we checked:

Model Network Monthly price and term Checked
Galaxy S25 FE 256GB MTN R499 pm x 36 September 2026
Galaxy S25 FE Telkom (FlexOn 2) R499 pm x 36, or R679 pm x 24 September 2026, catalogue valid until 6 October 2026
Galaxy S26 256GB MTN R749 pm x 36 September 2026
Galaxy S26 256GB Telkom (FlexOn 2) R679 pm x 36 September 2026, catalogue valid until 6 October 2026

Both networks mainly show 36-month terms, and Telkom also shows a 24-month price. A 36-month term lowers the monthly amount but keeps you paying for three years. Work out the total cost (monthly price times the number of months, plus any once-off fees) before comparing a 24-month and a 36-month option.

Data, Minutes and Included Extras

What comes with the handset depends on the plan behind the deal. Telkom’s catalogue sets this out clearly. Its FlexOn 2 device deals include 2GB Anytime data, 500 Telkom-to-Telkom minutes, 75 all-network minutes and SMSs. There’s also a once-off 20GB bonus data allocation that’s valid for 31 days from activation (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026).

MTN’s listing shows the monthly price and term, but the plan inclusions sit on each deal page. Before you commit, check:

If the included data is low for your needs, you may have to buy extra bundles or choose a bigger plan. That can close the gap between a cheaper deal and a more expensive one.

Current Networks, Retailers or Providers

MTN: No Galaxy S25 or S25+ in the Samsung range when checked. It lists the S25 FE, S26 FE, S26 and S26 Ultra, as well as foldables.

Telkom: The current catalogue has no S25 or S25+. It carries the S25 FE, S26 and S26 FE.

Vodacom: Vodacom sold the S25 series on contract when it launched. We couldn’t confirm what’s available now, so check Vodacom’s Samsung range directly.

Cell C: We couldn’t read Cell C’s Samsung shop. Check it directly for current S-series stock.

Samsung South Africa: The Galaxy S25 buy page is still live, but every listed variant showed as out of stock. Samsung sells cash devices, not network contracts.

We haven’t verified pre-owned or refurbished S25 stock. If you’re considering one, check the seller’s warranty, battery condition and return policy.

Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms

Telkom’s catalogue lists a R99 once-off SIM and connection fee on its device deals. It also states that deals are valid while stocks last, and that Telkom may adjust plan charges during the contract (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026). Other networks set their own fees and promotion rules, so check each deal page for:

What to Check Before You Apply

If you want a bigger Samsung flagship, compare S25 Ultra contract deals. For an older, often cheaper large-screen option, see Samsung S24 Ultra contract deals.

Samsung S25 Contract Deals FAQs

Can I still get the Samsung Galaxy S25 on contract?

Possibly, but it’s limited. MTN and Telkom didn’t list it when we checked in September 2026, and Samsung South Africa showed it as out of stock. Check Vodacom and Cell C directly for any remaining stock.

Is the S25 FE the same as the S25?

No. The S25 FE is a separate, lower-priced model in the same family. It was on contract with MTN and Telkom from R499 pm x 36 when checked in September 2026 (Telkom catalogue valid until 6 October 2026).

Are S25+ contract deals available?

We didn’t find the S25+ on MTN or Telkom. Samsung South Africa listed it, but it was out of stock. Check the remaining network shops before you apply.

What about S25 Ultra deals?

The S25 Ultra is a different model with its own deals. Compare those on the S25 Ultra page linked above.

Which network has the best S25 contract deal?

That depends on stock, plan inclusions and total cost. It isn’t a fixed answer. Compare the monthly price, term, data, minutes and once-off fees on each network’s current deal page.
