S25 Ultra contract deals are now hard to find in South Africa. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has replaced it, and when we checked in September 2026, MTN, Telkom and Cell C didn’t list the S25 Ultra in their online contract ranges. Vodacom still has S25 Ultra product pages, but we couldn’t confirm prices or stock. Samsung South Africa still sells the phone for cash.
If you’re weighing the S25 Ultra against other Galaxy models, start with our Samsung Contract Deals overview.

What you’re getting
According to Samsung South Africa, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 6.9-inch display, 12GB RAM, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and a built-in S Pen. It comes in 256GB, 512GB or 1TB, with a 200MP main camera.
Who it suits
The S25 Ultra suits someone who wants an S Pen and a flagship camera but doesn’t need the newest model. It only makes sense on contract if the monthly price is clearly lower than the S26 Ultra’s.
Monthly Price and Contract Term
We couldn’t verify a current monthly price for the S25 Ultra from any network, so this page doesn’t list one.
When you do find a deal, compare it against the newer model. When we checked, Telkom listed the S26 Ultra 256GB from R1 099 pm x 36, and MTN’s catalogue listed the S26 Ultra 256GB at R1 249 pm x 36 on its deluxe plan (both catalogues valid until 6 October 2026, checked September 2026). An older phone at a similar monthly price is poor value.
Choosing a term
Networks typically offer 24- or 36-month device contracts, and some offer longer terms. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but increases the total you pay. Work out the full cost:
- monthly price × number of months
- plus any once-off or connection fees
- compared with the cash price of the phone plus a SIM-only plan
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
Device deals on older flagships are often attached to small entry-level plans. Before you compare monthly prices, check:
- Anytime data included each month, not bonus data
- All-network minutes versus on-net minutes
- SMS allocation, if you still use it
- Bonus data and how long it lasts
- Out-of-bundle rates once your allowance runs out
- Add-ons such as smartwatches or insurance, which raise the monthly cost
If a deal includes very little data, a cash purchase paired with a bigger SIM-only plan may work out better.
Current Networks, Retailers or Providers
Vodacom
Vodacom has S25 Ultra product pages in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, but they didn’t show prices or stock when we checked. Ask Vodacom directly whether the phone is still available on contract.
MTN, Telkom and Cell C
None of these networks listed the S25 Ultra online. Each now lists the S26 Ultra instead. Cell C also listed the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE, and MTN listed the S25 FE.
Samsung South Africa
Samsung still sells the S25 Ultra on its Galaxy S25 Ultra buy page. When we checked in September 2026, the page advertised R5 400 off at checkout on the 256GB Titanium Black model, with the offer ending 20 September 2026. Pricing and stock can change.
Retailers and pre-owned
We didn’t verify retailer or pre-owned S25 Ultra offers. If you see one, check whether it’s a network contract, a store account or a cash price, and what warranty applies.
Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
Ask about these before signing any S25 Ultra deal:
- Connection or once-off fees
- Deposits that may be requested after a credit check
- Delivery costs for online orders
- Annual price increases on the monthly subscription
- Promotion end dates, such as Samsung’s 20 September 2026 cut-off
- Stock limits, which are likely on a replaced model
What to Check Before You Apply
1. Is it still in stock? Confirm the storage and colour before you apply. 2. Price against the S26 Ultra: compare the same storage and term. 3. Plan size: check the Anytime data, not just bonus data. 4. Total cost: monthly price × term, plus fees, compared with the cash price. 5. Upgrade or new line: some flagship deals are limited to upgrades. 6. Application: expect ID, proof of address and bank details, plus credit and affordability checks. Approval isn’t guaranteed.
Related models worth comparing are Samsung S24 Ultra Contract Deals and Samsung S25 Contract Deals, which is the smaller S25 without the S Pen.
