MTN doesn’t currently offer the iPhone 11 on contract. When we checked MTN’s online shop and its September 2026 catalogue, there was no iPhone 11 in the Apple range or among MTN’s pre-owned phones. The oldest iPhone MTN listed was a pre-owned iPhone 13, from R399 pm x 36. If you were looking for an iPhone 11 because it’s a low-cost way into Apple, that pre-owned iPhone 13 is the closest MTN route today.
For every iPhone MTN currently lists, see MTN iPhone Contract Deals.
Compare MTN iPhone 11 Contract Deals
The iPhone 11 was a popular contract phone for years, which is why people still search for it. It has largely been replaced on network price lists by newer and pre-owned models. Here’s what MTN offered instead when we checked.

|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 11 | Not listed | No deal available | — |
| iPhone 13 128GB | Pre-owned | R399 pm x 36 | New and upgrade |
| iPhone 14 128GB | Pre-owned | R449 pm x 36 | New and upgrade |
| iPhone 16e 128GB | New | R499 pm x 36 | New and upgrade |

Monthly Price and Contract Term
There’s no MTN iPhone 11 monthly price or contract term to compare, because the phone isn’t listed. Older search results or third-party pages may still show iPhone 11 prices, but treat them as out of date unless MTN’s own shop lists the deal.
For the MTN alternatives, the terms work like this:
- Terms: 24 or 36 months on the pre-owned iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 deal pages.
- Pricing: 36-month deals cost less each month, while 24-month deals usually cost less in total. On the pre-owned iPhone 14’s Yellow Core plan, for example, 24 months worked out cheaper overall.
- Contract types: the pre-owned models were open to new contracts and upgrades.
If you wanted the iPhone 11 on 24 months to keep the commitment short, a pre-owned iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 on 24 months is the nearest equivalent. Expect a higher monthly amount than on 36 months.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
The MTN plans attached to its current iPhones follow the same structure, so this is what you’d be choosing between:
| Plan family | What it includes | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow plans | Anytime data plus all-net minutes | Light to moderate users |
| Sky Premium plans | Larger data bundles plus extras such as MTN Home Internet savings | Heavy data users |
| Airtime only | A monthly airtime value for calls, data or bundles | Changing monthly usage |
Entry Yellow plans on MTN’s pre-owned iPhones included 1GB of anytime data and 60 all-net minutes when we checked. That’s enough for messaging and light browsing, but not much more.
Current Networks, Retailers or Providers
We also checked Cell C’s contract range in September 2026. It listed several iPhones, from a certified pre-owned iPhone 13 to the iPhone 17 range, but no iPhone 11.
If you specifically want an iPhone 11, your realistic options are:
- Buying a pre-owned or refurbished iPhone 11 outright from a reputable seller, then pairing it with a SIM-only plan.
- Choosing a newer pre-owned iPhone on contract, such as MTN iPhone 13 Contract Deals.
- Stepping up to a new iPhone. MTN’s catalogue lists the iPhone 16e and iPhone 15 on its entry core plan. Compare MTN iPhone 15 Contract Deals.
To compare MTN’s SIM-only plans and wider phone range, see MTN Contract Deals.
Upfront Costs, Fees and Promotion Terms
These points apply to MTN’s current iPhone alternatives.
- Delivery. MTN’s pre-owned deal pages showed free delivery in 1 to 3 working days when we checked.
- SIM or connection fees. None were itemised on the deal pages. Check the final order summary.
- Pre-owned warranty. The warranty period for MTN’s pre-owned iPhones wasn’t shown. Ask before you sign.
- Buying an iPhone 11 outright. Check the battery health, warranty and return policy, and make sure the phone isn’t blacklisted or locked to another account.
What to Check Before You Apply
1. Be clear on why you wanted the iPhone 11. If it’s price, compare the pre-owned iPhone 13. If it’s size or familiarity, check the specs of the newer models. 2. Compare 24- and 36-month totals on the alternative you choose. 3. Pick a plan based on your real data use. 4. Check pre-owned condition and warranty before you commit to a long contract. 5. Prepare for credit checks. MTN may check your credit and affordability, and approval isn’t guaranteed.
MTN iPhone 11 Contract Deals FAQs

What’s the cheapest iPhone on MTN contract instead?
The pre-owned iPhone 13 128GB, from R399 pm x 36, checked September 2026.
Does any other network list the iPhone 11 on contract?
Cell C didn’t list it when we checked. Range changes happen, so confirm on each network’s shop.
Can I use an iPhone 11 I already own on an MTN plan?
Yes, if the phone is unlocked and works on MTN’s network. Compare MTN’s SIM-only plans, which don’t include a device repayment.
Is an older iPhone still worth taking on a 36-month contract?
Think about how old the phone will be when the contract ends. A newer pre-owned or entry-level new iPhone is usually easier to justify over three years.
