Cell C does offer two phones on one contract, but it calls them combo deals, not double deals. When we checked in September 2026, Cell C’s contracts page listed several phone-plus-phone combos, mostly two of the same Android handset, on its Cell C Elevate packages. You pay one monthly cost, and you can choose a 24- or 36-month term. Cell C’s product page didn’t say whether the second phone comes with its own SIM, so confirm that before ordering.

Cell C’s other combos pair a phone with a smartwatch or fitness band, or a laptop with a pocket router. They show up in the same list, so check that the combo you’re looking at really includes two phones.
Mixed pairs
Most Cell C combos were the same phone twice. The vivo Y31 + vivo Y05 combo pairs a mid-range phone with an entry-level one, which can suit a household where one person needs a better phone.
What Is Included in the Deal
On the Samsung Galaxy A27 + Galaxy A27 combo, Cell C’s product page showed:
- two Galaxy A27 128GB handsets;
- a choice of contract term: 24 or 36 months;
- a choice of package:
- Cell C Elevate 1 +: 1.5GB anytime data, 100 any-net minutes, 100 SMSs
- Cell C Elevate 2 +: 3GB anytime data, 300 any-net minutes, 300 SMSs
- one monthly cost for the combo.
The second phone: what Cell C doesn’t say
The combo page shows one package and two handsets. It doesn’t say whether:
- the second handset comes with its own SIM and number;
- the package allocation is for one line or shared between two;
- a second plan is added for the second phone.
This matters a lot. If there’s only one SIM, the second phone would need its own prepaid SIM or a separate plan, which adds to your real monthly cost. Ask Cell C directly before you sign.
Two phones, or a phone plus something else?
Cell C groups more than one structure under double deals. Either two handsets are financed under one agreement, each typically with its own SIM and plan, or a phone is paired with a second device that may carry its own data plan. A genuinely promotional second device should say so plainly in the terms. Add both parts together and check each term before comparing against a single contract.
TopUp or full postpaid
Cell C explains the difference in its contract FAQs. TopUp plans stop when your minutes or data run out until you top up, while full postpaid plans bill out-of-bundle usage at month-end. Check which type your combo package is.
Monthly Cost and Contract Length
Example (Cell C, checked 12 September 2026): Samsung Galaxy A27 128GB + Galaxy A27 128GB on Cell C Elevate 1 +, R599 pm x 36. Confirm the current price on Cell C’s site, because it can change.

Cancellation and upgrades
Cell C’s combo pages didn’t explain what happens if you cancel early or want to upgrade one of the two phones. Ask:
- what early cancellation costs apply to the two handsets;
- whether you can upgrade the combo as a whole;
- what happens to the second handset if you cancel the contract.
Cell C’s FAQs say existing customers can check their upgrade date in the Cell C App or on the self-service portal.

Cell C online
Combos appear on Cell C’s contracts page, marked “combo”. When we checked, the phone-plus-phone combo page offered a “Call me back” option instead of an instant checkout.
What you’ll need to apply
Cell C’s FAQs list a valid South African ID, proof of residence not older than 3 months, and your latest 3 months’ bank statements or payslips. Credit vetting and RICA apply, and approval isn’t guaranteed.
Other networks
If Cell C doesn’t have the handset pair you want, Vodacom (Double Deals), MTN (2 FOR 1) and Telkom (FlexOn 2 Double deals) also listed two-phone offers when we checked. Vodacom and MTN showed a separate plan for the second device.
Who This Deal Is Best For
A Cell C combo can suit you if:
- you want two budget or mid-range Android phones for one monthly cost;
- you’d like the option of a 24-month term instead of 36;
- you’ve confirmed how the second phone connects and are happy with the package.
It may not suit you if:
- you want two iPhones (no iPhone combos were listed when we checked);
- both users need their own full plan;
- you prefer ordering online without a call-back.
Alternative Phone and Bundle Deals
