This is what someone looking for two iPhone 13s on contract could actually choose from when we checked in September 2026.

A few things stood out:
- No network had a new iPhone 13 on contract. Every iPhone 13 we saw was listed as pre-owned or certified pre-owned.
- MTN’s iPhone pair mixes models. MTN’s catalogue lists a pre-loved iPhone 14 + iPhone 13 pair at R799 pm x 36 (catalogue valid until 6 October 2026, checked September 2026), not two iPhone 13s. MTN doesn’t label it “2 FOR 1”.
- Cell C and Telkom had no iPhone pairs. Cell C’s combo deals had no iPhone + iPhone combo, and Telkom’s double deals were Android only.
- Vodacom’s pair is a single listing. It’s one deal with two phones, not two contracts you set up yourself.

What Is Included in the Deal
Based on the listing name, Vodacom’s two-iPhone 13 deal includes:
- Two iPhone 13 handsets, both 128GB and pre-owned.
- Two chargers, listed as free with the deal.
- One Double Deal contract. Vodacom describes its Double Deals as “2 devices, 1 contract” on its Double Deals page. Its “Twinsies” type covers two identical phones, which is what this deal is.
What the listing didn’t show when we checked:
- which plan each phone comes with, and what data, minutes or airtime that includes;
- whether the second phone gets its own SIM and number;
- the total monthly payment and the contract term;
- once-off, delivery or connection fees.
Don’t assume the second phone is free. Vodacom says double deals are discounted compared with two separate contracts, but that’s a discount, not a genuine 2-for-1. Open the product page from Vodacom’s Double Deals listing and read the plan details for both phones.
What “pre-owned” means here
Pre-owned phones are used handsets that have been checked and resold. Networks describe their grading and warranty differently, so ask Vodacom about cosmetic condition, battery health, warranty length and the return window before signing a 36-month contract for two used phones.
Monthly Cost and Contract Length
We can’t give a verified monthly price for Vodacom’s two-iPhone 13 deal. The simplest way to judge a double deal is to price two single contracts. On MTN, a single pre-owned iPhone 13 was listed from R399 pm x 36 on its entry Yellow Core plan (MTN catalogue valid until 6 October 2026, checked September 2026). Two of those would be two separate contracts, each with its own plan and credit check. If Vodacom’s double deal costs about the same as two singles, the only benefit may be having one contract to manage.

Two separate contracts may be a better fit if:
- The two users need different plans. One heavy data user and one light user rarely suit a matched pair.
