Vodacom no longer lists a new iPhone 13, but it does offer a pre-owned iPhone 13 on contract. When we checked Vodacom’s online shop in September 2026, the iPhone 13 128GB (Pre-Owned) was listed from R599 pm x 36, with a new contract, upgrade or once-off purchase option. That contract price is for two pre-owned iPhone 13s on one deal, not one phone. It was the only iPhone 13 version we found on Vodacom.
If you want a new phone rather than a pre-owned one, compare the current range on our Vodacom iPhone Contract Deals page.
Compare Vodacom iPhone 13 Contract Deals
Vodacom groups its pre-owned iPhones under a single promotion. Here’s how the iPhone 13 sits against the other pre-owned models listed.
| Pre-owned iPhone on Vodacom | Storage | Lowest listed price (checked September 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 11 (Pre-Owned) | 64GB | From R329 pm |
| iPhone 13 (Pre-Owned) | 128GB | R599 pm x 36 for 2 phones |
| iPhone 14 (Pre-owned) | 128GB | R649 pm x 36 for 2 phones |

The gap between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 two-phone deals was small when we checked. If you’re set on a pre-owned iPhone, compare both before choosing. If you only need one phone, a new iPhone 16e was also listed on Vodacom from R449 pm, which is worth weighing up.
Monthly Price and Contract Term
On the Vodacom iPhone 13 (Pre-Owned) product page, the contract option showed:
- Device: 2x iPhone 13 128GB 5G (Pre-Owned), Midnight
- Term shown: 36 months
- Starting price: R599 pm x 36 for both phones
- Once-off alternative: R7,849 cash price per phone
Checked September 2026. Prices can change during and before your contract, so confirm on the day you apply.
Over a full 36-month term, add up the monthly payments and compare the total with two once-off prices. The difference is what you pay for spreading the cost plus the plan itself. If you already have a SIM-only plan you’re happy with, buying once-off and keeping that plan may work out cheaper. If you’d rather keep your cash and bundle everything, the contract route does that.
Data, Minutes and Included Extras
The deal cards on the iPhone 13 page highlighted an airtime allocation (R170 airtime on the lowest-price cards) rather than a data bundle. A full breakdown of data, minutes and SMS was not shown on the cards we saw, so open “Get this deal” and read the plan details before you continue.
What to check:
| Item | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Airtime or data | Whether the plan gives airtime to spend or a fixed data bundle |
| Out-of-bundle rates | What you pay once the airtime runs out |
| Warranty | Vodacom listed a 12 Month Vodacare warranty for this pre-owned device |
| Condition | How Vodacom grades or describes the pre-owned phone |
| Extras | Any bonus data or promotional benefits and how long they last |
A 12-month warranty on a 36-month contract means the last two years of payments fall outside that warranty. Consider that when you compare it with a new phone.

- Delivery cost. Vodacom’s page said delivery costs are based on your location.
- Connection or SIM fees. Check the checkout summary for any once-off charge.
- Promotion terms. The pre-owned iPhone promotion may have its own conditions or end date. Read them on Vodacom’s site.
- Annual increases. Contract prices may change during the term.
What to Check Before You Apply
Before the checklist, weigh up what a pre-owned iPhone 13 means over three years. The phone is already a few generations old, so by the end of a 36-month contract it will be considerably older. Battery wear, software update support and resale value all become more important the longer you keep a phone. Ask Vodacom how it tests and grades pre-owned devices, and whether the battery has been checked or replaced.
1. New or pre-owned? The iPhone 13 on Vodacom is pre-owned only. Decide whether that suits a three-year commitment. 2. Compare the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16e. The iPhone 14 is also a two-phone deal; the iPhone 16e is a single phone. 3. Read the plan inclusions behind the airtime figure. 4. Check upgrade eligibility if you’re an existing customer. Vodacom offers a “check if I can upgrade” tool. 5. Prepare documents such as ID, proof of address and bank details. Vodacom will run its own credit and affordability checks, and approval isn’t guaranteed.
